Seneca Falls, N.Y. – Habitat for Humanity of Seneca County announced today that the 2nd Annual Raise the Roof Party raised $4,898.19 for the organization. The annual event took place at The Gould Hotel on Friday, October 14, 2016.
“We are so grateful to all our volunteers, corporate sponsors and trades people for their generosity of time and skills. All of these local people have wrapped their arms around our Habitat families to provide them with a dream come true” said Karen Simon, President of the Habitat for Humanity Seneca County Board of Directors.
The Raise the Roof Party is not only an annual fundraising event but a chance for the families of the current builds, loyal volunteers, business supporters, and the Habitat Board Members to get together and celebrate all of their hard work this past year. Volunteers work alongside the families who are required to invest 250 hours of sweat equity. Habitat for Humanity is in the process of completing 36 Haigh Street in Seneca Falls and 114 Elisha St in Waterloo.
